Built without mortar, dry stone walls are found in abundance throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. These structures define fields and properties, retain slopes, support bridges, and much more. They are functional and beautiful and are a continuing part of our local and regional history. It is our honor to work on these walls to preserve and/or build them so that they last for many years to come.

Suzanne Pace, founder of Stone|Grow, is certified from the Dry Stone Walling Association (DSWA) in Great Britain, and is currently the only traditional stone waller in Pittsburgh with this specialized certification. 

We work directly with quarry owners in Central Pennsylvania and Ohio to ensure quality, hand-cut stone is is used for your project. Tuscarora Mountain stone, Pennsylvania field stone, bluestone, and sandstone are favorites for in our craft. We understand that all stone is unique so we will work with you to find the perfect natural stone to complement your project.
